ROCHE PRODUCTS LIMITED

Roche in war-time, 1939-1945: the record of a British firm

Cover illustration from an original painting by Paine 1945

During his time at Welwyn Paine produced publicity material for Roche Pharmaceuticals.  In the 1920s the company was in the doldrums following the German boycott of its products and the loss of its Russian market in 1917 but retrieved its fortunes during the 1930s by increasing the production of vitamins and drugs such as ‘Allonal’.

All below undated.

I can’t find a signature on the above but I am certain it is Paine’s work.
